What’s the difference between foil and rotary shavers?
Rotary shavers are designed to work with cyclical movements while Braun foil shavers are designed to work with efficient sideways movements on the skin giving perfect control and precision. The foils protect the skin from irritation and are specifically designed to deliver the most thorough and comfortable shave from Braun.

Why would I need a Clean & Renew System when I can clean my shaver under water?
Our tests show that cleaning your shaver with a Clean & Renew station is 10x more hygenic than cleaning it under the tap. At the simple touch of a button your shaver is hygienically cleaned, charged and lubricated for your maximum convenience.

I already have a cleaning station from my previous Braun shaver (Pulsonic or Synchro). Can I use it with theSeries 3 shaver?
No, the Series 3 Clean & Renew System is the latest model from the Braun Clean & Renew line and can’t be used with previous shaver models. The latest Clean & Renew System provides you with the best technology available in a cleaning & charging system.

How often do I need to exchange the Cleaning Center refill cartridge?
If you clean your shaver with the Cleaning Center twice a week, you will only need to replace the Refill Cartridge every 2 to 3 months to experience a like-new shaver every day.

Do you have any recommendation on how to shave with an electric foil shaver?
We recommend that you shave before you take a shower. After a few days without shaving, for example during the weekend, you should trim your stubble before you shave. Stretch the skin and shave against the direction of beard growth. Hold the shaver at a right angle (90°) to your skin. Keep the pressure even to achieve the the most thorough and comfortable shave from Braun.

How often do I need to change the shaver head?
We recommend replacing all cutter parts every 18 months. We included a replacement part indicator in the display to ensure you know when to exchange the cutter parts, in order for your shaver to always stay at 100% performance.

Trimming vs. shaving

Trimming is the safest way to remove your body hair without the risk of nicks or cuts. Also, you may prefer to leave some areas neatly trimmed to a precise length while going for a clean shave in others – it’s completely up to you!

Why do I need a special body groomer?

Well, you could also use an old-fashioned toolbox of clippers, scissors and tweezers, but the cruZer5 body offers all grooming functionalities in just one handy device and was especially designed for the specific demands of manscaping, featuring extra small trimming teeth and optimized ergonomics.

How exactly does the trim & shave combination mode work?

Essentially, the trimmer and razor are working together in one single stroke, with the trimmer first shortening the hair and the blade subsequently shaving off the remaining stubble.

How do I shave problem areas?

First trim your hair to a short length, then soak your skin to open the pores. Use tiny strokes and skin-care products to soothe the skin.

How do I clean the cruZer5 body?

First remove the trimming comb and brush it out. If you have used the cruZer5 body with shaving gel or foam, rinse it under hot, running water and shake it to remove excess water. Leave it to dry and apply a drop of light machine oil onto the trimmer on a weekly basis.

What blades can I use with the cruZer5 body?

The cruZer5 body works with standard Gillette Fusion blades but you can also use Gillette Fusion Pro-glide blades for an incredible shaving experience.
